Arthur Martirosyan

Hello, I am Arthur Martirosyan.

I was born on September 8, 1980, in Yerevan.
In 2008, I graduated from the Yerevan State College of Estrada and Jazz Arts, specializing in percussion instruments with the qualification of an ensemble soloist. To develop my professional skills, I took masterclasses with one of the best masters of our time, Alexander Grigoryan.

Alongside studying the characteristics of musical styles, I have collaborated and continue to work with musicians who perform in various genres (from traditional jazz to folk). I have organized numerous concerts and masterclasses, also performing as a soloist.

In addition to my concert and organizational activities, I have been teaching for over 10 years, working in several art and music schools.

I am thrilled that you have decided to dive into the world of rhythm and sound! Drums are more than just instruments; they are the heart of music, setting the tempo and atmosphere of any piece. Playing the drums requires both technical preparation and emotional involvement, and I am here to help you develop both.

In our lessons, we will gradually master different playing techniques, starting with basic beats and progressing to complex rhythmic patterns. We will explore a variety of musical styles—from rock and jazz to Latin and African rhythms—so you can find your voice and understand how drumming can be a means of self-expression.

Additionally, I will help you improve your reading skills and comprehension of musical structures, enabling you to navigate any musical situation with ease. We will focus on coordination, precision, and speed, but most importantly, on musicality and expression through playing.
